Running creates repetitive impact and may require a more gradual progression. Patients should generally establish a foundation of walking, strength, mobility, and cardiovascular conditioning before attempting higher-impact activities.

What About Contact Sports and High-Impact Activities?

Returning to contact sports, competitive athletics, heavy lifting, gymnastics, or other high-demand activities requires additional consideration.
